The Casselberry Summer Artist's Way Group
WOW....I am overwhelmed by our first night together....What a great beginning and an extremely large class! It is for that happy reason that unfortunately, I need to "close" this class to any more members for the summer. This typically does not happen until week #4 of the class. Although I have always felt strongly that the people that need to be there will be there, I also need to be respectful and honor the creatives that came to the first class and their ability and opportunity to participate fully as we move through the 12 weeks of the Artist's Way.
To all of the returning creatives welcome back, it was so great to see you all again! And for all of the new members of our tribe....We are all so happy that you have joined us!
I think it is going to be a spectacular creative summer with so many breakthroughs and so much inspiration!
To all of our Summer 2017 AW tribe....WELCOME! I am so glad you came!!

Julia Cameron, author of The Artistís Way describes a shadow artist as a creative that chooses a career that is close to the life they would like to have themselves, but are afraid to actually pursue themselves. YEE-OUCH that stings!
I should know, when it comes to shadow artistís it is very possible that I am the queen! As a young woman I went to school and got a degree in interior design, in practice and the real world interior design was more about budget and installations than the opportunity to be creative. I became increasingly dissatisfied with my work and life!
The chance to manage and then own my own picture framing business brought me even closer to the art my soul was silently screaming to be near. I made certain I stayed very close to the energy of creativity by limiting my business to art galleries and artists, drawing even closer to my ďtribeĒ but still afraid to acknowledge or God forbid give into it.
Years of unrealized dreams zapped my energy, joy and happiness, until finally this interesting book came along and called me a shadow artist, and gave me the tools to move forward into the life I was meant to have.
Woo-Hoo! 23 years (and counting) and not a day passes that I am not grateful beyond measure for the creative tools, the artistic support and the phenomenal creatives that "The Artist's Way" brings into my life!
Shadow Artist.......I don't think so! Not any more.
